Field of Lupine
There is an amazing field of lupine between our house and our neighbor's house, with an occasional poppy to break up the intense blue! You can smell the sweet aroma as soon as you step outside! I love spring!

Almond orchard in spring
The Paso Robles area was once the largest almond growing district in California with 26,000 acres planted in almonds. Most of these orchards have been taken out and replanted in grapes. But scattered around the area are remnants of old almond orchards, which burst into bloom in February.
